The aim of our Psychological Counselling and Guidance (PCG) Department is to support students’ emotional, social, and cognitive development, help them know themselves, discover their potential, and cope with challenges. At the high school level, career guidance becomes a primary focus. A comprehensive four-year guidance program supports academic, social, and personal development.

Career Guidance and Counselling Activities

  • Students are guided to explore their interests and talents and gain new skills.
  • 21st-century careers and global opportunities are introduced.
  • Conscious decision-making is encouraged.
  • Each student graduates with their own career portfolio.

Services for Students

  • Development Monitoring: Academic, emotional, and social development is monitored through individual and group sessions.
  • Classroom Guidance Activities: Topics such as motivation, self-awareness, career interest awareness, anger management, and exam anxiety are addressed.
  • Orientation Programs: Activities are organized to support students’ transition to high school.
  • Career Awareness Activities: Scientific inventories are used to create student profiles and provide feedback.
  • Career Day: Students are connected with experts in various fields to support career goal setting.
  • University Introduction Services: Starting from grade 11, domestic and international university visits are organized, and students are guided through the application process.
  • Career Workshops: From grade 11, students are offered hands-on career experience opportunities.

Services for Parents

  • Parent Seminars: Informational sessions are held on various topics throughout the academic year.
  • Newsletters: Guidance-related newsletters are sent out twice per semester.
  • Monthly Updates: Regular updates on students’ development are shared.

Services for Teachers

  • Class Guidance Planning: Annual guidance plans are prepared.
  • Teacher Orientation: Workshops and training sessions are held to strengthen group dynamics.
  • Student Monitoring: Weekly meetings are conducted with homeroom teachers.
  • Candidate Student Evaluation: During the admission process, students are evaluated socially, emotionally, and academically.

Professional Development for PCG Experts

  • Supervision Support: Monthly meetings are held with field experts.
  • Professional Development Programs: Participation in at least two seminars, congresses, or conferences is ensured each year.
